The Gas Safe Register is the UK’s official gas registration body, appointed by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). It replaced CORGI in 2009 and is now the only legal authority for gas safety in the UK.
Any engineer or company carrying out gas work — from boiler servicing to pipework installation — must be listed on the Gas Safe Register. It’s illegal to operate without it.
When you use a Gas Safe registered installer like Wright Renewables, you can be confident that:
Gas systems can be dangerous when handled incorrectly — carbon monoxide poisoning, gas leaks, and faulty appliances can pose serious risks. That’s why the Gas Safe Register exists: to protect you and your home.
Choosing a registered installer means:
✔️ You avoid unqualified or rogue operators
✔️ You receive a Gas Safe certificate for any work carried out
✔️ You meet all building regulations and safety compliance requirements
✔️ Your warranty (and peace of mind) remains intact
Although our primary focus is on air source heat pumps and solar installations, we’re also fully equipped and certified to handle gas work as part of a hybrid heating system or for servicing and replacing existing gas boilers.
When we install a Vaillant air source heat pump with a gas boiler backup, for example, we carry out all gas-related work in-house — safely, legally, and to the highest standards.
“Being Gas Safe registered isn’t optional — it’s the baseline. We go beyond that by bringing the same professionalism and care to gas installations as we do with renewables,”
— Lee Rolfle, Managing Director
